We are very proud winners of South Devon CAMRA Pub Of The Year 2015 & 2018, feature in the What Pub - Good Beer Guide and we're Cask Marque'd.
We love our Real Ales and have a weekly changing choice of Cask Ales from both local and national brewers. Dartmoor Jail Ale is on permanently, together with at least three other guest ales. Our aim is to provide a choice for all tastes & strengths as well as stocking beers you might not see elsewhere. We've a fully air-conditioned cellar so our ale is always served at the optimum temperature and we're happy to serve you either a Northern (sparkler on) or Southern (sparkler off) pint. Can't decide, then buy 'ponies' - three thirds for the same price as a pint.
We've been collecting local, award-winning & unusual gins for over 9 years and our Gin Shelf currently has in excess of 60 premium gins with new ones being added all the time. Local favourites include Salcombe, Papillion,Plymouth, Black Dog, Wicked Wolf, Curio & Tarquins to name just a few and we stock a range of tonics to complement them. Having spent 15 years in Scotland before our move to Devon, we know a thing or two about malts - we've over 20 malts with something to suit all tastes. We're continually adding to the range so if you have a favourite you would like to see let us know and we'll see what we can do.
Our cider bar is a happy accident from one of our Cider festivals - it's so popular we permanently keep 20 + real ciders and scrumpies all from the local region. We also have Thatchers' Gold and Haze on draught & Rekorderlig Fruit Cider in bottles.
Wines, Soft Drinks and the rest...
You'll find a great selection of wines by the glass or bottle, Champagne for special occasions, an extensive range of spirits, soft drinks and mixers. We also stock Crankhouse Coffee which is roasted less than 3 miles away, a selection of teas and hot chocolate.
